H.E Armando Guebuza

Former President of Mozambique

H.E Armando Emílio Guebuza, a veteran of the struggle for the independence of Mozambique. Being the general secretary of the Liberation Front of Mozambique (FRELIMO), in 2004, he was nominated for the post of the President of the country and won the elections. He was re-elected for a second five year term of office in 2009. Guebuza is the first man to enter the Mozambican presidency with a non-Marxist party programme and ideology.
